Special permits for bus services mentioned in Article 3 of this Agreement shall be issued on the basis of applications submitted by carriers to the competent auhority of the Contracting Party in whose country the bus has been registered.

Summary: On the basis of the legal stipulation of legal institutes of the work of aliens in the Republic of Croatia and established quota system, every year the Government of the Republic of Croatia sets work permits quota for the employment of aliens under which it is obliged to identify activities and occupations where employment is allowed, the number of work permits for each of the identified activities and the territorial distribution of work permits.

The chapter on quotas for work permits regulates the procedure for submitting data on the number of necessary work permits for foreigners, exemptions from the established quotas for work permits in line with the Law on Movement and Stay of Foreigners and Asylum, and the categories of foreigners that are exempt from the application of the Law on Employment of Foreigners.

Through the outlined overview of the institutes related to the work of aliens in the Republic of Croatia, we attempted to clarify the prescribed normative differences the work of alien workers who can work only with the issued work permits, which may be a part of the quota system and outside quota.
