The Protestant Reformed Christian Church in Croatia is registered as a religious community and the Church of the Good Shepherd and the church in Tordinci are part of it, autonomously with their property.

The Protestant Reformed Christian Church in Croatia is presbyterial in its structure, reformed in theology and praxis, while the Reformed Christian Church in Croatia is episcopal in stucture (which is not acceptable to our understanding of what reformed stands for)

I have also explored the cooperation of the Reformed parish of Tordinci with other religious communities that were active on and around the territory of Tordinci at the time, especially with the majority Roman Catholic Church, with whom relations were not always on an enviable level.

Certain, mainly administrative collaboration also existed with the Serbian Orthodox Church, but particularly with the Evangelical Church, with whom the Reformed Church practically formed one entity.

This is examined primarily from a civic-legal angle, since the same laws regulated both the Evangelicals and the Reformed, so they were both known by the name Evangelical: Evangelicals of the Augsburg Confession (Evangelicals, namely Lutherans) and Evangelicals of the Helvetic Confession (Reformed, or in other words, Calvinists).

Different Presbyterian and Reformed church congregation from several countries have helped us with evangelism and collecting financies for buying the building (College Hill Presbyterian Church and North Presbyterian Church from Cincinnati have given a special contribution).

Looking at the legal position of religious communities in the Habsburg (Austro-Hungarian) Monarchy, with an emphasis on the situation of the Evangelical Reformed Christian Church of the Helvetic Confession of that time, within which the Reformed parish of Tordinci operated, allows us to observe the relationship of the Austro-Hungarian authorities toward various religious groups that were active in this multiethnic, multicultural and multiconfessional empire.
